There are 8 progressive steps by which man reaches the higher altitude of spiritual life
The initial step Humility (conscious need)
Mat.5:3 “Blessed are the pure in spirit, for theirs are the kingdom of heaven.
2nd step - Penitence (mourning for sin)
Mat. 5:4 “Blessed are those who mourn for they shall be comforted”
3rd step - Meekness (marking the birth of a new spirit)
Mat. 5:5 “Blessed are the meek for they shall inherit the earth”
4th step - Spiritual appetite (signifying growth)
Mat. 5:6 “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled”
5th step – Mercifulness (an attribute of God signifying further advance)
Mat. 5:7 “Blessed are the merciful for they shall obtain mercy”
6th step – Purity of heart (marking the attainment of higher altitude, where comes the visions of Yahweh)
Mat. 5:8 “Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God”
7th step – Peacemaking (Christ-like influence, calming the storm)
Mat 5:9 “Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called the children of God”
8th step – The summit suffering for Yeshua (standing beside the Prophets and Martyrs)
Mat 5:10 – “Blessed are those who are prosecuted for righteousness sake, for theirs are the kingdom of heaven”
Mat 5:11 – “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all manner evil things about you because of me”
Mat 5:12 – Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, because in the same way they persecute the Prophets who were before you.
