I'm currently reading from Job as a part of my daily reading. This part stuck out to me….
"How then can humans be righteous with God? How can those born of women be clean? Why, before him even the moon lacks brightness, and the stars themselves are not pure. How much less a human, who is merely a maggot, a mortal, who is only a worm?!" Job 25:4-6
Think about that…we cannot be righteous with God unless we have Yeshua. (so righteousness does not COME from us) We cannot do good apart from the Ruach. Without the Ruach we are just flesh - no different than an animal. They have a form of life but not eternal Life.
Now think of the wicked. They can do good but where does that good come from if they are without the Ruach? The wicked can actually show attributes of the Ruach but not have the Ruach in that when raising children, they are selfless. They can display patience, understanding, love etc. How can the wicked display these attributes if they are spiritually dead and lack the Ruach? Roman 3 says "none are good" and "none are righteous" (except those who are faithful to Yeshua)
So how is this possible? The only way I can figure, so far anyway, is that Yah has extended a measure of grace even unto the wicked for many reasons. In order for the wicked to act in selfLESS ways, then they must have been given a measure of the Ruach's attributes - not the Ruach Himself, just His attributes for many reasons. I'd like to talk about one….
Can you imagine living in a world where those not in Yah, carrying on without His grace and a measure of the Ruach's attributes would be like? The world would be in total chaos! Nothing would function properly. People would be acting according to their flesh constantly. Businesses would collapse because no one would have a work ethic. Business would go under due to company and worldwide theft. The population would decrease because people would murder at will. There would be NO love whatsoever from husband and wife to parent and child. What would it be like in a world bent on evil?
And then I think about what the bible says about the latter days - how the wicked will grow more wicked, people will be lovers of themselves, mothers will lose the natural love for their children etc. I think of Noah's day when the world was evil and Sodom & Gomorrah. If the end is declared from the beginning, then surely this must happen again especially since the bible tells us how the wicked will act.
Wrapping this all up...
So what will cause this shift in humanity? What will cause the wicked once capable of doing good to suddenly not be able to do ANY good? If God's grace is RESTRAINING them from doing all of this evil, then doesn't it seem plausible that the removal of this RESTRAINING power would cause them to act in the flesh just like animals? Could "the Restrainer" have to do with God withdrawing the Ruach's influence/power/abilities from the wicked? Is this how we are going to be a light amidst the darkness?
